Check out elann.com (one of my fave sites ever!) this Wednesday, December 14th at 12pm for an Eileen Casey Creations surprise!
I just published a new pattern today – Devenish – named after a magical little island in the middle of Lough Erne back home where there is a magnificent round tower and beautiful stone carvings.
I don’t know why this design brought back memories of Devenish as I was working on it – but I decided to just go with it.
This little sweater is very practical as well as cute, and I was so pleased with how it turned out.
My Baby Aran Body Suit, Hat and Booties pattern is now available to download in French! Thank you for translating, Pascale Rigaud!
Oh, and it’s still free – enjoy! 😉
New pattern just up – all procceds go to the OCCUPY movement.
Please make a sign and go and occupy, or bring some food for the occupiers, or make this hat and donate it to a cold occupier! They are there for you, show them all the support you can!
You can find an Occupy movement close to you by visiting www.occupytogether.org
There’s a clue in there…
In any event, I will have a new pattern released in the very near future – just a little more work to do on it.
Finally I have time to make my website look like a website!
I’ve been publishing free patterns with About.com at a hectic pace for the last year or so, but in September they decided to cut their Contributing Writer programme across the board, and myself and 70 others in various topics found ourselves with a lot more time on our hands. Still, it was a great experience working with them while it lasted – I got a lot of exposure and learned to work under deadline pressure. Now I can put that to good use and get my own pattern label up and running – I’m brimming with ideas, and glad that I have the time now to work for myself instead of “the man”!
As I am no longer publishing free patterns with About.com, and I no longer have access to their pages – please be aware that none of my patterns available there are going to be updated or corrected at any future point. However, a number of these patterns will become available as free PDFs on this site and Ravelry, and others will be altered, updated, and released for purchase in PDF and e-book form.
